HAZEN CHEER WINS VARIOUS AWARDS AT CHEERLEADING CAMP
Hazen Cheer was extremely successful at UCA camp!
Not only did they bond with their teammates and learn new fun skills, but they also brought home various awards, ribbons, and trophies!
Hazen Cheer received Superior Ribbons in all of their evaluations, including: Fight Song, Game Day Cheer, Sideline, and Extreme Routine.
They also won a Superior Trophy for receiving all Superior Ribbons during camp.
The squad also won 3 spirit sticks and was awarded the TOP BANANA on Day 2 for being the most spirited team at camp!
Alvin Tran was presented the Pin it Forward award, which promotes all of the values encouraged through cheerleading;
leadership, spirit, commitment, kindness and motivation.
He received a pin from our UCA Buddy- Tanner who selected him.
Then, Alvin pinned it forward and selected a cheerleader from another squad to receive the award.
Peyton Yamamoto competed against all of the females in our division at camp and won The Jump Off!
At the end of camp, all teams performed the material learned in front of the entire camp.
Hazen Cheer won 1st place in Game Day Cheer and 1st place in Extreme Routine!
WAY TO GO HIGHLANDERS!
FOUR HAZEN CHEERLEADERS SELECTED UCA ALL-AMERICAN
Congratulations to: Alvin Tran, Kate Carlson, Peyton Yamamoto, and Shaniah Pederson who made UCA All-American!
Being selected as an All-American is one of the highest awards an individual can achieve in cheerleading. Each summer at UCA, UDA, NCA, NDA, and USA camps, thousands of cheerleaders and dancers try out for the All-American title, but only 10 percent are chosen! The try-out process involves: performing a dance routine or stunt, a cheer, and their best jump. All-Americans are eligible to participate in in special events and parades which showcase the top cheerleaders and dancers from Varsity Spirit summer camps across the nation.
We are proud of you (say we are proud of you, hey, hey, hey!)
