Dear students and families,

Welcome to the 2015-16 school year at Renton High School.I am delighted to have your student in my classroom this year and look forward to sharing the school year together with him/her.  As a teacher, I will endeavor to create an educational partnership with you and your student that will foster courage, determination, and passion for knowledge.  In addition to this, my commitment as an educators will be to provide your student with a nurturing and challenging educational environment that will ensure his/her academic success with the Washington State Standards for World Language. I am looking forward to an exciting year. It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging, yet fun, experience in my classroom.

As I was born and raised in Mexico, therefore, Spanish is my first language. I got my degree as an architect in my country and later my teaching certificate in USA. I also completed my masters in Spanish with the International Iberoamerican University in Puerto Rico. Currently I am working on my National Board Certification.

One thing I love about teaching is that it is never dull!  I enjoy the opportunity to think and work creatively and to see the students express their learning in so many different ways.  It’s always wonderful to see the ways the children grow throughout a school year, both in their learning and their character.

I have high expectations of all my students, and I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her work is being done.

Please check on regular basis Skyward to find tests dates and/or update you on your son/daughter’s progress
